Madhubani paintings are the most famous paintings in the world. This popular art of the Mithila region expresses the creativity and sensitivity of the people. Like any folk art, it shows the psychology of the society to which it belongs, it reflects the morals, values and customs of the region in a very interesting way. This age-old art is done by using just fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks, using natural dyes and pigments, and is known for its eye-catching geometrical patterns. The women mainly make Animal Print Fused With Madhubani paintings of the Mithila region.
About The Artist
Aanchal has always felt drawn towards pencil colours and has been loving colours. She believes through painting brings a union of reality and creation and everything around her surrounding is her inspiration for art.
The Workshop Began
Aanchal greeted all the participants and thanked the host for the lovely introduction. She taught different animal designs and patterns to all the participants and continued to teach them using paint colours. Further she first taught Zebra print using black; for water ripples she used a pink colour, the lotus was shaded in blue colour while teaching the design and the leaves she taught using light olive green colour. She demonstrated the shading of a fish using an orange colour and concluded the workshop by showing her different artworks.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Aanchal taught colourful and beautiful animal prints in Mithila art. She taught zebra print, water ripples, lotus and small designs and patterns. All the attendees enjoyed the art workshop and showed their co-created Animal Print Fused With Madhubani to all the participants.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Rooftop , as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
