Sketching is a simple or quickly executed drawing or painting, giving preliminary yet important visual information without all the absolute details. Good sketching skills are the cornerstone of every competent artist and a skill that should be well-practised enough to become a mechanical, automatic process. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special workshop and invited Minal Sinha.
Aanchal is a self-taught artist based in Delhi. She is the founder of the Art Pitcher’ which is an Art and Stationery brand. Her artwork mostly consists of either sketching or Acrylics based. To date, she has conducted 20+ art workshops which have been amazing and indescribable.
Sketching Workshop Began
Aanchal began the workshop with a brief introduction about herself and her ventures. She showcased the sketch which was to be drawn during the workshop. Besides that, she also showcases some of her previous artworks. Moving forward, she explains some basic sketching techniques in a simple manner and participants were able to follow her instructions simply.
Additionally, she explains the procedure in a layman’s language which was understandable to all the attendees. Aanchal encouraged everyone to draw along with her. She also addressed all the questions asked by the attendees regarding the shapes, pens used and so on.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
The session was interactive and gripping. Aanchal gave insights about how to go about shading and adding gradients to your sketch. The workshop ended with everyone showcasing their beautiful artworks.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
On this note, we take your leave. See you next time!
