The anatomy of Organic Pigment Painting is to use pigments/colours organically. These are derived from plants. They are 100% natural. Paintings made from such colours are known as Organic Pigment Paintings.
Amrita Sequeira looks at the world on her easel. Colours mean the world to her. She is a Stay-at-Home-Mum with two beautiful kids. In 2007, she started summer camps for her children. She would call them my Lil CamperScampers with love. With the encouragement of her family and friends, she started her Art brand, in 2018, based out of Thane, Mumbai.
The Organic Pigment Painting Workshop began
The first glimpse was of her Organic Pigment. Spinach juice, boiled beetroot, activated charcoal, coffee powder, and turmeric were the basic pigments. And then with her brushes and mixing palette, she started the Organic Pigment Painting workshop.
Slowly and steadily, she mixed the colours to have newer shades. Then, on her sheet of paper, she started making petals of the flower. With water and paint, she added different shades and hues to the paper. The attendees followed her instructions very well.
Towards the end of the workshop
Towards the end, everyone flashed their cameras with their beautiful flowers. She also cleared the doubts of everyone. She suggested that everyone soak their natural ingredients in the water for at least a few hours before painting. That’s how the Organic Pigment Painting Workshop ended/
Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a colourful and positive vibe together.
