One stroke painting with Priya Satish

One stroke painting

One Stroke painting is a popular and interesting decorative painting technique where the double and multi-loading method is used to achieve highlights, shadows, and color changes in one stroke. It is all about loading a brush with two separate colors and getting the shading and highlighting in one stroke. It’s a very simple technique and yet it gives some of the most interesting combinations, especially when one has different colors on the brush. The one-stroke method lets one blend, shade, basecoat, and highlight all in one stroke and therefore makes painting quick and easy.

About The Artist

Priya Satish is from Bangalore and is a graduate of chemistry. She has been a passionate Bharatnatyam dancer for 21 years. She also loves sketching and is a designer at MixMedia Academy.

The Workshop Began

The workshop began with an introduction of Priya and her experiences as an artist. Priya greeted all the participants and thanked the host for the lovely introduction. She gave an insight into the art form and began creating the artwork. She first started painting on the canvas, making pink flowers and green leaves. She then continued to make purple flowers and was taught how to paint in one stroke with the flowers. She concluded her artwork by making flowers on the adjacent sides of the canvas. The artwork looked really bright and colorful.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Priya created a beautiful and colorful one-stroke painting of pink and purple flowers. All the participants appreciated her and created a one-stroke painting, which they showcased to her. She appreciated all the participants’ artworks. The host thanked Priya for teaching this wonderful art.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
