Oil painting consists of pigments suspended in drying oils. It allows both fusions of tones and crisp effects and is unsurpassed for textural variation. The standard consistency of oil paint is a smooth, buttery paste. It is applied with brushes or a thin palette knife. Oil as a painting medium came around in the 11th century.
To make this art form popular among art lovers, The Circle Community conducted a workshop on Oil Painting with expert artist Khushi Sharma.
About The Artist
Khushi Sharma is a BLH student and is the president of a Fine Art club. She also teaches oil painting to kids.
The Workshop Began
The workshop started off with an introduction to Khushi and her journey and experiences as an artist. Khushi thanked the hosts for the introduction and started colouring the canvas with blue colour. She first started using dark blue colour for the shade of the ocean and then applied a stroke of light blue to the canvas. She continued painting the canvas with brown colour and shade of white for the sand and applied a light white shade for the waves.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Khushi beautifully completed the oil painting of the sea. She coloured the canvas with shades of blue and waves with blue and shades of white. All the attendees appreciated her artwork. The host thanked Khushi for sharing the art and teaching oil painting.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
