A mandala is an artistic representation of higher thought and deeper meaning given as a geometric symbol used in spiritual, emotional, or psychological work to focus one’s attention. The image first appears in India via the Hindu text called the Rig Veda c. 1500 – c. 500 BCE. The Rig Veda is comprised of ten books, known as mandalas, containing 1,028 hymns of 10,600 verses relating to religious understanding and practice. Rooftop curated a Mesmerizing Mandala Workshop with Swathi for our members.
About The Artist
Swathi is an artist a founder and a crafter at Sanskriti. Her company specializes in handmade products.
The Workshop Began
Swathi greeted all the participants and thanked the host for the lovely introduction. She first started drawing the circles for the base and continued teaching the designs and patterns of Mandala on a sheet of paper before drawing it fair on the canvas. She began drawing the patterns and designs of the Mandala in the inner circle and completed the mandala by completing the design.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Swathi created a wonderful Mandala using different patterns and designs. She taught all the designs in a simple and easy manner. All the participants appreciated her beautiful knife painting. All the attendees showed their co-created Mandalas and had all smiles. The host thanked Tithi for teaching this unique yet beautiful Mandala. The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together. On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
