A mandala is an art form of geometric patterns that represent the cosmos, the universe in a symbolic manner. Buddhists started with this art form as a means of meditating and connecting with oneself. Thereupon, to engage our Circle Members in this therapeutic exercise, Rajasthan Studio curated a workshop and invited Madhurya Dwarakanath.
Madhurya though is from a commerce background but her heart and passion lie in arts. She is a person who took mandala as her cathartic exercise and loves to explore this art form with a new perspective every day.
Mandala Art Workshop Began
Madhurya began this workshop with a little introduction about herself and her love for mandalas. She showcased some of the amazing works and the art piece on which the attendees will be working on. As Mandalas are quite intricate in nature, Madhurya decided to start off with a basic Mandala to assist the beginners as well. The twist in her Mandala was she chose a colorful mandala over the traditional black and white one. According to her, the mandala reflects the colorful personality of hers.
Towards the end of the Workshop
Towards the end of the workshop, Madhurya finishes off her mandala by explaining about the coloring techniques. She even leaves some time for a brief question and answers session for the attendeesā doubts.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
On this note, hereās us signing off until next time!
