Lippan also known as Mud and Mirror Work is a traditional art form from Kutch, Gujarat, India. This work is limited mainly to the interior walls, it can be found on the outer walls as well. Lippan Work is mainly done by the women of the Rabari community. Rabari is the pastoral community of Kutch, living on the outskirts of its villages. There are no records available to know the exact past of this art. Lippan mirror work came to light of the modern world due to its intricate patterns and aesthetic perfection and has become the mainstream art of the world, decorating the walls of urban homes.
