Galaxy Mandala Workshop By Rasika Durge

Mandalas represent different aspects of the universe and are used as instruments of meditation and symbols of prayer most noticeably in China, Japan, and Tibet. A cosmic diagram that represents the relation to the infinite and the world that extends beyond and within minds and bodies. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this traditional art form,  Rajasthan Studio curated a special workshop and invited Rasika Durge.

Rasika Durge is a mandala artist and has been making beautiful mandalas in different forms through her page. She expresses her thoughts and emotions through each of her art pieces. Furthermore, she also does channel artwork.

Rasika has been making mandalas since 2018 and she promotes mandalas as a therapeutic tool for self-discovery. When not making art Rasika works as a strategy consultant for nonprofits.

Galaxy Mandala Workshop Began

Rasika started the session by explaining what was the task for the day. She informed the attendees that they were going to make a galaxy-inspired mandala using mainly blue and purple shades. All the attendees paid attention and noted all the key points.

She made outlines of circles of different radius. She went on to tell the attendees what is to be done inside the circle and she made sure that she was responding to all queries and questions.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Rasika explained how to blend all the colors to get the best result she explained everything in great detail. Later, she even displayed an artwork that she had created before. The attendees were very excited to showcase their work. The overall experience was very delightful and everyone was elated by the experience.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan Studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
