Fluid Art Workshop With Amisha Bulani

Fluid Art Workshop

Fluid art is the process of pouring paints onto a canvas to create unique pieces of abstract artwork. It involves different techniques such as pouring, dripping, swirling, glazing, dipping, and many other effects. To experience this abstract form of art, Rooftop curated a Navratri Special Fluid Art Workshop and invited Amisha Bulani. She is a design student at NIFT. A very experimental person with a positive attitude, she focuses on enjoying the process rather than worrying about the final result.

The Fluid Art Workshop Began

White being the colour theme of the day, all 40 participants were all set with their white traditional wear and colours. Amisha began the experience by explaining the flow of the artwork. She also shared some alternative art materials required for fluid art.  She started by preparing the paint by adding the pouring medium. Next she demonstrated the two types of fluid art techniques – the ring pour or swirling technique and flip the cup technique. The enthusiastic attendees immediately experimented with both the techniques and had an avenue of colorful fluid canvases.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

The curious attendees had several queries regarding the type of acrylics, and the pouring medium, which Amisha answered quite promptly. At the end of the workshop, Amisha also shared some very useful tips and said,

The most important thing in fluid art is to always be experimental, the result will be your own unique abstract art.

All the attendees showed their work to Amisha and impressed her with the varied results of the beautiful abstract paintings. They were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform.
