Fluid Art Workshop By Yukta Pandey

Fluid Art Workshop

Fluid Art Workshop: A recent art trend that has taken over Pinterest and Instagram is Fluid Art. It is a process of pouring paints onto a canvas to create unique pieces of artwork using acrylic paints on any solid surface like canvas, wood and also glass. Rooftop curated a Fluid Art Workshop and invited Yukta Pandey to enlighten the circle members with the basics of fluid art. Yukta is currently pursuing a degree in Interior Designing.

The Fluid Art Workshop Began

Yukta began the workshop by pouring her favourite acrylic colours in different disposable cups and bringing each colour to the desired consistency using a pouring medium. Yukta then demonstrated two techniques of pouring paint on the canvas. All 19 participants were carefully listening to Yukta and following her steps. Circle Members were curious to know if there is an alternative to acrylic paint and pouring medium. Yukta helped them by resolving their queries.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

The first technique of pouring paint on the canvas was maxing all the colours in one glass and flipping the glass upside down on the canvas. Seeing the second technique of swirl, all the attendees had ā€œWOWā€ expressions on their faces. Yukta then demonstrated how to spread the colour evenly on the canvas by tilting it on all sides. Members working along with Yukta were excited to show their work and get feedback. The canvas of each participant was covered with different colour combinations. This fluid art experience turned out to be a stress buster for a few.

Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
