Patterns in art is a repetition of different visual elements. Egyptian Pattern Illustrations have their own distinct set of patterns which may appear on textiles, architectures, manuscripts, and other objects. Egyptian Patterns can bring a boring canvas to life. We enjoy looking at patterns because it brings a sense of harmony with them. We learnt this intricate art form in the Egyptian Pattern Illustration Workshop.
To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this modern art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a Egyptian Pattern Illustration and invited Keya Patel.
Keya Patel is an Artist and an Art Educator. She conducts Art Workshops and Parties for all age groups, Corporate events, Commissioned design projects and Customized products. Switching her career from Finance to Art, she not only teaches to go for it but also to dream big. She intends to be an inspiration to all those young minds and integrate passion and purpose together and give back to society while doing something she loves.
Egyptian Pattern Illustration Began
We started the workshop with the instructions given by the artist. She gave the introduction about the workshop and the host gave a short introduction of her.Artist started and showed the construction of a pattern. Artist instructed the attendees to draw a circle intersecting another circle. Inscribing the circle through a square and then we started with the colored pens. Using the colored pens adjoin the points from one end to another end. Artist completed the star formation in the workshop and waited for other attendees to complete and then we made two more constructions in the egyptian pattern.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Moving further the attendees asked the questions to the artist and the artist started constructing the final step while answering the questions.The attendees stuck tracing paper on the construction and drew on the tracing paper so to get the final illustration. Artist instructed so patiently that the attendees could draw the complete egyptian illustration, traced it with the help of a spoon and followed so well.
The attendees seemed immersed in the workshop and thanked Rajasthan studio as well as the artist for introducing them to such a unique art form.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
