Doodle Art Workshop With Nischala

Doodle Art Workshop

Doodle Art Workshop: Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representational meaning or may just be composed of random and abstract lines. Popular kinds of doodles include famous TV or comic characters, invented fictional beings, landscapes, geometric shapes, patterns, textures, or phallic scenes. To experience this very creative artsy art, Rooftop curated a Doodle Art Workshop and invited Nischala, a practising artist since the past 12 years. She has her hand on various forms of art like Brush Lettering, Gothic Calligraphy, Scrap Booking, Mysore Painting, Tanjore Painting, Kerala Mural, Nathdwara Painting and a few more.Ā

The Doodle Art Workshop Began

Nischala began the experience by explaining the different shapes and how we can doodle using various doodling styles. All the 30 attendees paid keen attention and made notes. Moving forward, she demonstrated how to draw faces, food or plant-based doodles. Nischala elaborated how minute elements can add life to the doodle. Most of the attendees doodled along with Nischala.

Once the attendees had a hang of the doodling technique, Nischala began to work on the final piece. Firstly, she outlined the draft with pencil and used a black pen to finalize the draft. Nischala coloured the negative spaces black to make the whole doodle look more lively. She used Bubble letters in her doodle to make it look more comical. The attendees asked a lot of questions regarding the pens and various materials that can be used. Nischala answered all the queries patiently and promptly.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

At the end of the workshop, Nischala mentioned to the attendees how there is no right or wrong for doodling, they could make anything they would love to make while using different shapes and elements. All the attendees had completed their unique doodles and were very excited to show their doodles to Nischala. She loved viewing everyoneā€™s work over the camera and appreciated each one’s distinctive doodle. It was a fun experience creating very innovative doodles.

All the attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform.

Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
