Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and the IMD Theme

The International Museum Expo 2023 is being organized as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a celebration of India’s 75 years of independence. In addition, several important unveilings will take place, including the Mascot of the International Museum Expo, a contemporary representation of the Dancing girl in the Chennapatnam art style. The Graphic Novel titled ‘A Day at the Museum’ will introduce children to the diverse career opportunities available in museums. The Directory of Indian Museums will serve as a comprehensive survey of museums in India, while the Pocket Map of Kartavya Path will trace the history of iconic pathways and cultural spaces. Finally, the Museum Cards, consisting of illustrated facades of iconic museums across the country, will provide a delightful and informative introduction to museums for people of all ages.
