Urban Sketching Workshop By Abhidnya Waghmare

Urban Sketching is the act of drawing on location in cities, towns and villages you live in or travel to. It is perfect for anyone who loves and appreciates art. Urban sketching workshop gives you an opportunity to explore and document the world around you.

To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this modern art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special workshop and invited Abhidnya Waghmare.

Abhidnya Waghmare is a self-taught artist, constantly exploring new art mediums as well as techniques. She left her career as a Software Engineer to follow her passion for arts and craft. Travelling to new places and capturing their beauty through urban sketching is her favourite thing to do. She is a firm believer that one should always make time to create art and inspire others to do the same.

Urban Sketching Workshop Began

Abhidnya started the workshop with a short introduction of herself. She introduced the basics of Urban Sketching, and how it is different from other forms of sketching. Abhidnya was very elaborate about what kind of materials to choose for this art form.

Urban Sketching is supposed to be practised in a live environment but to go about with the best workshop experience, Abhidnya used a reference picture for her sketching. She started off with the sketching by explaining the whole process in an elaborate manner inclusive of insightful tips and techniques. She even kept an open discussion for queries and tips for this art form.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

The workshop was quite interesting and interactive. The attendees put up a lot of questions and Abhidnya Waghmare answered them with precision and much clarity. She wrapped up the workshop with a summary of what all was taught and some extra tips and techniques. The workshop concluded with everyone showcasing their work.

The attendees were also from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
