Urban Sketching with Marissa D’Raunjo

Urban Sketching With Watercolour Workshop

Urban Sketching is a popular way of journalising. You can sit anywhere and appreciate the view in front of you. Watercolour is used to paint the urban sketch as only water is required. Urban Sketching is popularly called a visual recording dairy. The simplified form of sketching is even helpful in agriculture.

The Urban Sketching Workshop Began

The workshop began with Marissa briefing about the workshop and the importance of focus while doing it. She started drawing lines with pencil on 300 GSM cold press paper. Further she sketched the details of the Amsterdam houses. She made small elements like trees, benches and a cycle. She outlined the final drawing with black marker pen. Firstly, she gave me a wash with water. She painted the sky and trees giving a texture, followed by painting the house.

Towards The End Of The Urban Sketching Workshop

She removed the surrounding tapes. Everyone co-created the Amsterdam house sketch. Marissa appreciated the attendees for their artwork.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
