Tunisian Crochet Caps are cute winter accessories that girls often wear and spend on for winter fashion. Tunisian crochet uses a hook and combines knitting with crochet to make a fabric which looks knitted and woven. Crochet caps are a fusion of fashion and style. Making a Tunisian crochet cap is relaxing and therapeutic.
To make this art form popular, Rooftop conducted a Tunisian Crochet Cap Workshop with expert artist Aarti Verma.
About the Artist
Aarti Verma shares her work on her Instagram page which goes by the handle @needleup. She makes Tunisian crochet caps, coasters and soft toys of crochet.
The Workshop Began
The workshop began with a brief introduction of Aarti Verma and her inspiring journey as an artist. Aarti welcomed all the participants heartily and gave them an insight into the background of the art form.
Aarti started off the artwork by explaining the difference between normal crochet and Tunisian crochet hook, sharing how there is a cable connected between them. She taught the process of knitting for making a Tunisian crochet cap. Aarti explained the important steps to be followed and also cleared the doubts of the participants from time to time. She created a cute blue Tunisian crochet cap.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Aarti explained that this was a DIY crochet cap that can be made easily at home in the desired shapes, sizes or colours. The attendees had a great time co-creating their own crochet caps with her. At the end, they showcased their artwork to Aarti, who appreciated them and provided additional tips. The workshop ended on a positive note.
The attendees were from different parts of the country but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
