Teabag Folding by Namrata Baheti

Teabag Folding

Tea bag folding is a very simple craft that produces star-shaped embellishments suitable for cards and scrapbook pages. There are an infinite number of folding patterns that produce different types of designs. Some enthusiasts compare it to origami because the basic origami folds are used, such as the water bomb and the square base to make flat units interlocked together into a “paper faceted” rosette shape. It is as absorbing as origami because your output can be endless. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this traditional art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special workshop on the art of Teabag folding and invited Namrata Baheti.

Teabag Folding Workshop Began

Namrata started the session by introducing teabag folding. She introduced the art form and explained it. She explained the use of different materials involved. All the  attendees paid attention and noted all the key points.

She went on to explain the name of the art form and where it originated from. Namrata also explained the different types of paper. She made sure that she was responding to all queries and questions.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Namrata explained each step in detail. She was very patient and even repeated the steps as per the request of the attendees. The attendees were very excited to showcase their work. The overall experience was very delightful and everyone was elated by the experience.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan Studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
