Soap Making Workshop With Shivani Saklecha

Soap Making Workshop

Soap Making Workshop: Soap making is basically the art of making soaps. In this current pandemic scenario, one needs soaps more than clothes! Thoughtfully Rajasthan Studio curated a Soap Making Workshop with Shivani Saklecha who is a master herself. She is a law student with a creative streak and also runs her own soap business called Autumnpine soaps.

The Soap Making Workshop Began

Shivani began the workshop by talking a little about soap making and the different kinds of soaps which can be made. Making the workshop more interactive, Shivani wanted to know what the attendees knew about soaps. Explaining the basic process of soap making, she started showing the materials required to make the soap. She suggested that according to one’s skin type and preference, different fragrance oils and additives can be used. She started by melting the soap base and then proceeded by adding soap color and fragrance oil. Pouring the liquid into the mould and spraying some rubbing alcohol, she let the liquid set for a sometime. Shivani also showed the same process of making soap by using a different soap base made of goat milk.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

At the end of the workshop, the attendees learnt the entire process of making soaps and Shivani ended up making three different types of soaps. The participants gained lot of insight about soup, its types and the process of making it. Shivani encouraged them to experiment making soaps using different colors and fragrances.

Rajasthan Studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
