There are silhouette pictures on glass that were popular from the 1920s to the 1950s. There are paintings which are done by artists on the reverse of sheets of glass and then framed. Silhouette pictures have been made throughout the 19th and 20th century, and are made even today in many countries in various styles.

The Circle Community conducted a Reverse Silhouette Painting Workshop with Vijaya Jaju.

The Workshop Began

The workshop began an introduction of Vijaya. She thanked the host and welcomed all the attendees to the workshop. Vijaya introduced the art form and took a circular base and started creating the artwork. She sketched it and filled it in different colours and sketched some flowers with it. She shaded the background in black colour after completing the flower sketches.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

All the attendees showed their beautiful silhouette paintings to Vijaya. She was delighted to see all the artworks and appreciated them. The host thanked Vijaya for sharing her knowledge on Reverse Silhouette Painting.

The attendees were from different parts of the world and belonged to various age groups but were united by their love for arts that eventually brought them to one platform. TCC, as always, was able to channel people’s love for arts, celebrate their passion and create memories to be cherished for a lifetime.

On that note, here’s us signing off until next time!
