Hamsa Hand Drawing Workshop With Vaishnavi Verma

Hamsa Hand Drawing

From the cradle of nature emerged the beautiful gift of art that the human civilization practised and eventually made a part of our day-to-day lives. All around the world we have been creating art with some belief at the very core of it. Beliefs are ritualistic and hold great importance to us. One such magnificent art form that contains a strong belief at the very core of it is Hamsa, a palm-shaped amulet that originated and is very popular in the regions of the Maghreb and the Middle East. Though nowadays it’s immensely utilized in jewellery and decoratives, its significance is found in Jewish and Christian traditions where it’s believed that it stops evil energies from entering our aura.

To bring the magic of exotic art in a closer way to the Circle family, TCC organized an amazing workshop and invited artist Vaishnavi Verma to facilitate the session.

About The Artist

Vaishnavi Verma is a 21-year-old student who’s pursuing her graduation in Agricultural Science. Just like any other person of her age, she too seeks serenity in this world of noise and finds art as a perfect medium to know and enjoy herself. She started creating art from the age of 5. Although she loves to practise all forms of art, traditional and ritualistic art forms hold a special place in her heart.

And The Workshop Began

The workshop began with a brief introduction to Vaishnavi and the experiences she garnered during her artistic journey. Vaishnavi then greeted and expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards all the attendees and the hosts of the workshop. She then gave some insight into the history and significance of Hamsa art form and started the demonstration of the artwork. The attendees were very engaged and indulged in the workshops and were also co-creating together with Vaishnavi. She too answered and cleared the doubts of the attendees in between the session.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

As the workshop progressed towards completion, attendees were able to create their own art pieces which they presented to Vaishnavi for feedback, who found each of them very beautiful and full of effort. She also showcased some of her previous artworks which looked amazing. The session ended with attendees being delighted and expressing their gratitude to both Vaishnavi and TCC for curating such an informative session.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to various age groups but were united by their passion and love for art, which eventually led them to one platform. TCC, as always, was triumphant in bringing artists together and celebrating the one common passion for art by curating a great virtual experience and memories to be cherished for a long time.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
