Rooftop – Where India Inspires Creativity

Egg Shell Art Workshop with Nandini Borah

Egg shell art

We often discard egg shells after making an omelette or an egg sandwich. The shells, however, can also be recycled and made to look pretty artistically. Egg shell art helps with fine motor skills in young children as they would be required to peel, crack egg shells and pick up the pieces of shells by developing strength in their little hands and enhancing hand and eye coordination.

To explore this unique art form, Rooftop conducted a fun Egg Shell Art Workshop with expert artist Nandini Borah.

About The Artist

Nandini Borah is a researcher and an educator who has been passionate about art all her life. She loves painting, cooking various delicacies and capturing photographs.

The Egg Shell Art Workshop Began

The Egg Shell Art workshop started with the host introducing Nandini and welcoming her to the session. Nandini was excited to share her knowledge with the participants and gave an insight into the art. Nandini started painting one egg shell with yellow colour and another with blue colour. She coloured the yellow egg shell with a red colour drawing small flowers and leaves. Borah continued shading the blue egg shell with yellow and pink, making small flowers and green leaves. The host appreciated Nandini for the artwork.

Nandini beautifully completed the egg shell art which looked aesthetic. All the attendees showed their beautiful artworks to her and she appreciated all the participants. The host thanked the guest for sharing their knowledge on this unique art form.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
