Abstract Art Workshop with Virti Gandhi

Abstract Art depicts visual reality with indefinite patterns using the power of the colours. Abstract painting is a technique favourable for any surface or medium. This form of art transcends us beyond physical reality. Abstract art is a free-flowing art requiring negligible precision.

The Rooftop team brings together Abstract Art Workshop with Virit Gandhi.

About The Artist

Virti is a fashion designing student and an abstract artist. She finds painting to be one of the best ways of expressing herself.

The Workshop Began

Virti highlighted an interesting part of the workshop which is no use of brush and only using tools other than brushes. She started creating a textured background using blue and yellow. The texturing of the canvas was done by dabbing a piece of fabric. She used a wooden ice cream stick to make a detailed black pattern on the canvas.

The texture of the second canvas was  done with the help of the CDs. She dipped several threads in yellow and white to make abstract art work. Other black and yellow canvas art was done using CDs.

Towards the end of the workshop

Virti demonstrated 4 paintings in one session itself with different techniques. The abstract art simply looked aesthetic due to the amalgamation of various colours.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Rooftop Art studio, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
