String art is not a new art form. The unique art form has its origins go back to the 19th century. It is the brainchild of Mary Everest Boole who found a way to introduce children to mathematical ideas. String art came back in the late 1960s as a decorative craft in the form of books and kits. String art is also known as pin-and-thread art, string art is an addicting artform.

The Circle Community brings together String Art Workshop with Palak Gupta.

About The Artist

Palak is an interior designer and artist by passion. She started her art journey in 2015 and has a studio of her own.

The Workshop Began

Palak greeted all the participants and thanked the host for the lovely introduction. She first started sketching a tree and leaf on the wooden canvas with a white liner and continued hammering the nails on the tree canvas, tying yellow strings to them and went ahead sketching the leaf and hammered the nails and tied strings to them. She showed all her artwork to the attendees. All the attendees appreciated her art.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Palak taught colourful and beautiful string art She taught the attendees to make a string art of a  yellow leaf and a yellow tree. All the attendees enjoyed the art workshop and showed their co-created String Art to all the participants.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
