Strawberry Earrings Quilling Workshop with Siddhant Tiwari

Strawberry Earrings Quilling Workshop with Siddhant Tiwari

It is believed that quilling began in the 13th century in China after the invention of paper. The idea was inspired by the metal ornamentation. The French and Italian nuns adopted the art to make church decorations as it is cost effective. Bird’s feathers or quills were used to strip the paper around and turn them into coils.

Quilling is also known as filigree. Quilling or filigree paperwork is popular today as professionals like designers, advertisers, educators and fashion designers use it widely.

About The Artist

Siddhant started his quilling journey when he was in the 7th grade. Paper quilling was introduced to him when he was in school. He found it interesting and made an Instagram page to commercialise it.

The Workshop Began

The workshop began with Siddhant briefing about the material required. The quills of red and green were gathered to arrange them into strawberry. He attached the hook to the top green part of the strawberry followed by pasting the leaves on the top part of the strawberry.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

The artist showed three layered Jhumka made with quilling.  All the attendees enjoyed the workshop a lot. The participants were delighted to see all the co-created earrings, fascinated by the amazing pair of earrings to wear.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
