The art is assumed to hold presence since pre-Aryan times. It represents the Santhal Tribals which is the third-largest tribals sustaining in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The art is a representation of their living standards and normal elements that helped these tribals sustain a quality life. One can expect elements like farming, fishing, lush green sceneries, hunting and more.

About the Artist:- 

Panchali Chakraborty is a diversified artist who has been in the periphery of art and art forms since years. She’s currently indulging into a lot of new art forms and trying to acquire mastery over them. One such art form is Santhal art.

The workshop began:- 

The workshop began with the host sharing a warm welcome to the mentor, Panchali Chakraborty and her expertise in the art field down the years. She then took over and began by sharing crucial elements about the art form that one needs to know and thoroughly before beginning it. 

On successful briefing, she then immediately began with the necessary steps required to begin the art form. The attendees of the workshop followed her instructions with utmost care and attention. She also made sure to be precise and productive to the learners in every manner. 

Towards the end of the workshop:- 

Panchali Chakraborty’s sheer guidance and supervision allowed her and the attendees to create beautiful Santhal art that appeared beyond appealing. In the end, the pieces of attendees were highlighted and tailored with constructive comments by the mentor herself. 

These attendees were of different age groups, deeply rooted with the passion to learn and explore new art forms. 

The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
