Resin Ocean Pouring Workshop

Resin Ocean Pouring Workshop: Resin art is a unique art form which has recently gained a lot of popularity. Rooftop curated a Resin Ocean Pouring Workshop and invited Saksham Sharma. Saksham’s family has been in the resin and composite industry for 30 years now. And he has his own resin art business- Caston Epoxy.

The Resin Ocean Pouring Workshop Began

Saksham started the workshop by elaborating about resin as an artform and described the different types of resin available. He then spoke about the do’s and don’ts while working with raisin. He also explained the precautions one should take while working with it. Next, he took a plastic cup and poured resin and hardener in measured proportions and mixed it with a wooden spoon. Adding blue pigment to resin, he prepared the different shares of color mix. Then, he poured the mixture onto the canvas in an abstract way. Blending both the shades of blue, he beautifully created an oceanscape.  He then demonstrated how a blowtorch and heat gun is used to remove the air bubbles. The curious participants asked several questions regarding the rein art technique and its intricate details.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

At the end of the workshop, Saksham also explained the ‘lacey effect’ by displaying some of his artworks.

All the attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
