Polymer Clay Accessories Workshop By Shanmathi Hariharan

Polymer clay is a type of harden-able molding clay based on the polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Polymer clay is generally used for making arts and craft items, and is also used in commercial applications to make decorative parts. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special Polymer Clay Accessories Workshop and invited Shanmathi Hariharan.

Shanmathi works in an MNC as a graphic designer. Like every normal girl who got bored in quarantine, she looked up for a gig to stay productive. She caught up with a hobby to make polymer clay earrings and it turned out to be a major watershed in her life. As her interest grew in this new hobby of baking earrings she seek out to learn new techniques and honed my skills to a professional level. On her way to mastery, she felt it would be good to teach my skills and hence the idea of a workshop.

Polymer Clay Accessories Workshop Began

The workshop began with a short introduction of Shanmathi and her journey. Further Shanmathi overtook the workshop and told the attendees about the Polymer Clay. Later she also mentioned the materials everyone needed to complete the artwork with her.

Shanmathi started while explaining and giving instructions to the attendees. Following that she also explained how to go about with each step, she also cleared all the doubt of the attendees.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Towards the end of the workshop Shanmathi shared a lot of hacks and tips for this art form. She showed different techniques. She was very excited and happy to see the attendees following the instructions carefully. At the end of the workshop everyone learned something different and unique art.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
