Persian art, also known as as Iranian art, is an art form made up of many mediums that includes painting, pottery, sculpture, metalworking, calligraphy, weaving, and architecture.The art of ancient Persia includes architecture, painting, sculpture and goldsmithing from the early kingdom of Iran in southwest Asia. The term “Persia” derives from a region of southern Iran previously known as Persis, or Parsa, which itself was the name of an Indo-European nomadic people who migrated into the region about 1000 BCE. Rooftop brings together Persian Art Workshop with Pooja Mittal.

About The Artist

Pooja is a self taught mandala artist, the lockdown reconnected her back to art as she keeps creating different designs in Mandala. She has conducted many workshops and taught five hundred-plus students virtually.

The Persian Art Workshop Began

Pooja greeted all the participants and thanked the host for the lovely introduction. She started the Persian Art Workshop drawing lines and circles required for the sketching of Persian Art. She continued drawing the petals, designs and patterns for Persian art and concluded the Persian art with different colours.

Towards the End Of The Persian Art Workshop

Pooja beautifully made the Persian art and started colouring it with different colours such as red, green, orange and light orange colour. All the participants appreciated her Persian art. Everyone showed their co-created Persian art. The host thanked Pooja for teaching this historic and culturally rich art form.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
