A sketch in line and wash is also known as ‘pen and wash’ or ‘ink and wash ‘means that both linework and watercolour are used together in the sketch or artwork. Line and wash can also mean mainly using watercolour with just a few lines of ink. Pen and wash urban sketching is all about capturing the energy of the world around you, doing it quickly, and keeping it loose.

The Pen and wash urban sketching Workshop Began
Abhidnya thanked us for the introduction and greeted all the participants. She began drawing the walls, electric poles, houses, trees, roads, and a log of wood. After completing the sketching she painted the houses and the walls brown in colour. She continued painting the trees and patches of grass with light green colour and concluded the sketch by painting the sky with light blue colour.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Abhinaya artistically created colourful Urban Sketching. All the attendees enjoyed creating their Macrame rainbow hanging. The participants were delighted to see all the co-created art forms as she appreciated her colourful urban sketching. The host thanked Rashi for teaching this cute artistic and colourful art form.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to other age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
