Musical Evening: On a rainy Saturday evening in August, our uber-creative team decided to organize a musical evening. This was with an extremely talented and passionate singer and guitarist – Gautam Keshwani. He is a huge supporter of soulful songs and independent music artists and bands.
The Musical Evening Began
To keep the evening casual and interactive, we started with an ice-breaking session. Everyone shared their favourite music genre and singers. All of us being early millennials were definitely in favour of the original music tracks that carried meaningful lyrics.
Gautam added the melody to our evening by singing the first track “Pehchaan” by his favourite independent artist Sabby Singh. It was a perfect start to the evening and got our audience into a relaxing mood for the weekend.
With requests from the audience, 80% of our viewers voted for “Abhi Mujh Mei Kahin” from the movie Agneepath. However, before Gautam could start singing, each of our viewers had to enact a dialogue from the same movie. It was indeed a session full of laughter.
There was a special song that we all could dedicate to our friends on the occasion of friendship day on Sunday. The very talented Gautam had picked a perfect song like “Tum aao, baitho baatein kare” and “sunta hai mere yaar” by the independent band – The Local Train. Before singing any song, Gautam would give a brief of it to the audience to help them connect in a better way!
Towards The End Of The Workshop
By the end of the session, we all had forgotten about the week we had and were immersed in the soulful singing. This evening was a treat well deserved!
Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together. We keep organizing such creative workshops to keep everyone productive and creative.
