Mix Media Photo Frame Workshop: A Mixed Media Photo Frame is a photo frame made using several decorative materials. Rooftop curated a unique workshop on Mix Media Photo Frame and invited Chandni Venkatesh. She is the proprietor of Aaradhya Collections, which is a marketplace for a variety of gift items. She was always fond of making jewellery and craft items and hence turned it into a profession.
The Mix Media Photo Frame Workshop Began
Chandini began the workshop by taking an MDF board and painting white acrylic paint over it to create the base. Then she took a wooden spoon set and a small butterfly element and stuck them to the corner of the MDF to decorate it. “You can use your own creativity to decorate the photo frame whichever way you want” she suggested. Taking a square-shaped colour paper frame, she stuck it to the acetate sheet. Chandni decorated the photo frame with different embellishments and accessories and also suggested different broken pieces of jewellery, beads, rings etc which can be used to decorate the frame. All 20 participants worked enthusiastically along with Chandini and experimented with their lovely photo frames.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
At the end, Chandini painted the photo frame with vibrant red and purple colours to make it look more eye-catching. She then showed the technique of making the stand of the frame easily. Adding decorative accessories to the photo frame, she completed the photo frame.
The participants received many suggestions regarding the making of gesso as well as different decorative items. She also resolved all the queries of the curious attendees and showed a few of her other works. At the end of the workshop, all the participants displayed their beautiful photo frames. Everyone had given their personal touch and creativity to their structures which made them all unique!
Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
