Mix Media is an art technique that mixes various art forms into one using different materials. A form of visual art which includes collages, assemblage, sculptures, pop art and other art mediums. Mixed media portrays more dramatic and vibrant themes of the artworks.

To make this art form popular, The Circle Community conducted an interactive Mix Media Collage Workshop with Devika Sinha.

About The Artist

Devika is an artist, textile designer and fashion designer. She completed her fashion designing from Symbiosis Institute of Management. Her major work is handcrafted with intricate designing techniques.

 And The Workshop Began

The workshop began with a brief introduction of the artist by the host. Devika explained the reason for her selection. She explained the pros of mixed media, showing certain reference images. Devika illustrated certain helpful patterns. She started colouring the sketch with watercolors, highlighting the shadow effect with black pen. Further, she gave tips for completing the artwork.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

The attendees were delighted to learn various new techniques. They found the art form to be very innovative and contemporary. They were engrossed in the session throughout and enjoyed co-creating the artwork with Devika. The host thanked Devika for making the art form fun and interesting to the participants.

The participants were from different parts of India and belonged to various age groups but their passion for art brought them together on a single platform. TCC as always, was successful in bringing artists together and  celebrating their love and passion for art.
