When different media or materials are used to create unique visual art, it is known as mixed media art. Mixed media art is an art form which doesn’t place restrictions on people who don’t know how to draw or don’t have great fine art skills. The use of mixed media started around 1912 when Cubists, like Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, started adding collages onto their canvases.
About The Artist
Alisha studied in a hill station close to nature. She has been passionate about art and now specialises in mix media artists for three years. Art has been a part of her childhood.
The Workshop Began
Alisha greeted all the participants and talked about Mix Media Art on a white coaster. She started colouring the coaster with a light blue colour shade, a dark blue shade. Further she decorated the coaster using artificial flowers and different objects for decorative purposes. She concluded the decoration of the design using a thin lace and showed one of her created mixed media art of purple colour.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Alisha created a colourful and artistic Mix media art on coasters using different elements for the design. The participants were delighted to see her artwork and shared their co-created artwork with her. Alisha suggested one can also hang them in their room for decor. The host thanked Alisha for sharing about this creative and artistic art form.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
