Miniature Pots Workshop With Vandana Maliwal

Miniature Pots Workshop

Miniature Pots Workshop: Miniature Pot making involves making tiny pots. These pots are perfect for adorning tabletops, storing little munchies or as a gifting article. Rooftop curated a Miniature Pots Workshop and invited Vandana Maliwal to teach this intricate form of art. She is a textile designer by profession, and in addition to her creative side through textile, she is working along with art and craft as a certified professional. She is an inquisitive learner and loves to explore new art forms.

The Miniature Pots Workshop Began

Vandana initiated the session by explaining about the Miniature Pots. Next, she began the process of making the pots by kneading and rolling the Mouldit which is a clay like substance. Subsequently, she covered the pebble with the dough, giving it a pot-like shape. The attendees observed carefully and worked alongside Vandana.

All 30 enthusiastic participants were quite curious to learn this new form of art. Some of our talented attendees even managed to make four pots in very less time. Gradually Vandana painted warli art form on the miniature pots using bright acrylic colours. The curious participants bombarded Vandana with queries regarding the substitutes for the base as well as the kind of motifs that can be painted on the pots. Vandana patiently responded to them and also showed few of her previous works.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

It was a very informative and creative session, and the attendees took along some useful knowledge about miniature pots. The attendees were all very happy and excited to learn the art of miniature pots and planned on decorating their homes with the same.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform.

Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a colourful and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
