Magic of Alcohol Inks Workshop With Asavari Dharap

Magic Of ALchohol Inks

Alcohol inks are fast-drying, highly pigmented, alcohol-based inks that are great to use on any hard, non-porous surface including glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, stone, leather and polymer clay. Once the ink is applied, the alcohol evaporates, leaving the dye behind.
To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this modern art form. Rajasthan Studio curated a Magic of Alcohol Inks Workshop and invited Asavari Dharap.

Asavari from Rumi Arts coming from a science background, my heart has always inclined towards the creative and artistic side of things. Asavari has explored my fair share in mehendi, murals and alcohol ink art works. Alcohol inks totally caught my attention at the very first glance. The gradient wisps and ripples are such a wonder to look at. And equally pleasure full to create too. I have been doing alcohol ink artwork for almost a year and a half. I regularly conduct workshops. It gives me immense happiness to share my art skills through these workshops.

Magic of Alcohol Inks Workshop Began

We started with the introduction of Artist and artist interacted with everyone regarding the art form. Artist instructed to dip the thin sponge in the alcohol and showed us how to work with alcohol inks. We completed the coloring part with the yellow Ink color and other bright Ink colors beautifully which transformed the white mug into a soothing art piece. The artist taught one more technique of alcohol ink and with the help of a blow dryer we created one more art piece using alcohol ink. Further she puts alcohol solution and  few drops of alcohol ink to merge them all on a synthetic sheet.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

At the end of the workshop the artist showed what all different things one can do with the help of alcohol ink. The alcohol artwork and  everyone enlightens the artist with their beautiful work where the artist gives a review of where they can improve.

She displayed her other artworks and everyone enjoyed such a simple yet interesting workshop. The workshop was full of learnings and everyone was elated by the experience.

The attendees seemed immersed in the workshop and thanked Rajasthan studio as well as the artist for introducing them to such a unique art form.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
