Nothing can compare to larger than life Durga Puja celebrations in Kolkata. The city doesn’t sleep nor its people, decked up in their best enjoy the celebrations and merry. Kolkata’s grand Durga festival has five days of celebration with themed pandals and traditional Pujos, food, friendship and creativity. Durga Puja in Kolkata is not just a religious festival. It is a grand celebration, all people high in spirits of Durga Puja.

About The Artist

Sriparna is an artist who mainly works with watercolours and works with mix media and has taken painting since 2015.

The Workshop Began

Sriparna greeted all the participants and thanked the host for the lovely introduction. She first started sketching Kolkata city on her canvas and continued to paint them. Sanyal continued to paint them in shades of brown and green for the tree and fence made a little portrait of the idol of Goddess Durga and concluded her artwork with

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Sriparna made a beautiful painting of the city of Joy soaking in the festive spirit of Kolkata. It looked artistic and realistic as much as the city itself looks during the puja. All the participants appreciated and showed their co-created sketches to Sriparna. The host thanked Sriparna for teaching this art form.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
