Rooftop – Where India Inspires Creativity

Keyring Workshop with Fauzia Anam

Key ring painting

Keyrings have a special place for all the ’90s-born kids as cute keychains with little teddy bears were a trend back then. Many people keep keyrings for sentimental reasons and have special memories attached to them. Many love collecting keyrings as souvenirs from their foreign vacations. The hobby of collecting keyrings is known as Copoclephilist and is widely popular among all age groups.

To make this art form more popular among people, Rooftop organized a Keyring Workshop with Fauzia Anam.

About the Artist

Fauzia Anam is a teacher by profession and is from Delhi. She loves painting and calligraphy.

Anam is a certified HobbyideasIndia Teacher who also makes customized cups, and gifts and has turned her passion into a profession.

The Keyring Workshop Began

The session began with an introduction to Fauzia and her experiences in the field of art. Fauzia showcased two of her creations and announced that everyone will recreate them using keychains. She dusted some powder in order to knead the base of the keyring and advised to use gloves if one has sensitive hands. She further advised kneading the dough till the clay does not change its colours. Anam took the prepared circle clay, applied talcum powder, and cut out a circle from a box. She smoothened the edges of the rough keyring.

She applied white, orange and yellow colours and gave a finishing touch to the keyring with a shade of black-coloured mountains, pine trees, and two birds.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

As the workshop progressed, all the participants have engrossed in co-creating the artwork with Anam. They then showcased it to her for her feedback and were delighted to receive appreciation for their efforts and dedication. In the end, the participants thanked the artist for sharing her skill with them and guiding them every step of the way.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to various age groups, but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop, as always, was successful in connecting artists and creating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
