Rooftop – Where India Inspires Creativity

InkFloral Bookmarks Workshop with Tammna Hariani

Macrame Rainbow Hanging Workshop with Rashi Kothari

About the artform

Flowers are a symbol of  beauty, comfort, love and affection. They are a major inspiration for decor and print illustrations. Ink is a sophisticated art medium developed in the 7th and 8th century in China. Ink work is highly in demand due to its permanence. This early ink was a combination of pinewood smoke, lamp oil, and gelatin from animal skins. Now, modern ink is industrially manufactured. Rooftop curated a InkFloral Bookmarks Workshop with Tammna Hariani,

About The Artist

She is an architect with a strong attraction towards painting. Her grandfather was an artist and she has grown up looking at her mother painting various artworks. Art has always brought her peace and always it is an escape for her.

The InkFloral Bookmarks Workshop Began

The workshop began with Tammna explaining about drawing a tulip from the reference bookmark. She started drawing a tulip with a pencil. Further, she outlined the same with a fine line marker. She beautified it with bright orange and red with brush splash effects. Secondly, she drew a sunflower and gave a yellow brush splash on it. Bookmarks  with vintage effects looked really pretty.

Towards The End Of The InkFloral Bookmarks Workshop

The attendees were enthusiastic to show their work. Not only did they make one bookmark but also other floral designs apart from tulip and sunflower. Tammna was delighted to see how well her explanation worked.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
