Watercolour

Watercolors is a medium of art which can be incorporated into so many things. If you’re just getting into watercolors or you’ve been painting for a while, sometimes it’s fun to just experiment with techniques that you don’t normally use when painting.

To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this modern art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a Everyday things using Watercolour Workshop and invited Kavitha KK.

Art has always been Kavitha’s passion. She has dabbled with various kinds of art forms and found her calling in watercolors for the spontaneity and fluidity it offers. Kavitha draws inspiration from everything from still life, scenery and nature, to city life and architecture. She loves bringing vibrancy into everything she paints and enjoys exploring lights, shadows and textures.

Everyday things using Watercolours Workshop Began

The Everyday things using Watercolour workshop started with the artist showing the artwork they were going to do that day. She started sketching to sketch out the subject and explained how to go about sketching the subject which was a mason jar. And gave some tips to the attendees to make their artwork look better.

Kavitha started with painting the shadows first, she showed her color palette and how she is mixing colors together. She then moved on to painting the main subject. And she also talked about the brushes she was using.

Towards the end of the Workshop

Kavitha filled in the remaining portions with watercolour and added texture to the painting to create a grainy effect. The workshop was very interactive and interesting. The attendees had some queries which were welcomed by Kavitha. The workshop ended with everyone showcasing their beautiful artworks.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
