Realism is the precise, detailed and accurate representation in art of the visual appearance of scenes and objects. It is the choice and treatment of subject matter that defines realism as a movement in painting, rather than the careful attention to visual appearances. Eyes are a beautiful subject to draw as they look like precious gems hidden in our own bodies and are the window to one’s heart. Rooftop organised an interactive Draw A Realistic Eye Using Pencil Workshop with expert artist Vaishali Mittal.
About The Artist
Vaishali has been practising art for 4 years. She also works as an art instructor and has been taking art classes since the lockdown. She does various kinds of sketching such as landscapes and portraits.
The Workshop Began
The workshop began with an introduction of Vaishali and her journey as an artist. Vaishali gave a background about the unique art form and started sketching an eye and eyebrow lightly. She started sketching from light to dark shades and explained the steps in an easy and simple manner. She answered all the questions of the attendees. Vaishali made sure that everyone was on the same page as her and explained the various types of shading. She then taught the eyes shading and beautifully completed her artwork for the Eye Pencil Workshop.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Vaishali beautifully drew a close portrait of the human eye. She showed her different kinds of pencil artworks to all the participants. All the attendees showed their realistic eye pencil sketch to Vaishali. Vaishali expressed her gratitude and thanked all the participants for co-creating the artwork with her.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
