Decoupage Coasters Workshop With Shruti Somani

Decoupage Coasters By Shruti Somani

Decoupage art originated in Europe in older times. This art is completely about adorning an object by gluing cutouts of coloured papers and adding some special effects of paint and some of the other enthralling elements to make it more beautiful. This art is very popular among crafters and it’s practised to a great extent around the globe.

In order to provide the Circle family with a thrilling experience of learning and curating the art, TCC organized a workshop and invited expert artist Shruti Somani to lead it.

About The Artist

Shruti is an ardent follower of art and absolutely adores it. She is passionate about all types of arts and loves to try new methods to create beautiful pieces of artwork. She is currently working as an IT engineer and spends a great deal of time on her computer screen. She finds art as an escape from her ordinary life. She is calm and confident and shares a special relationship with art.

And The Workshop Began

The workshop began with a brief introduction of the artist, which helped the attendees know more about the artist and her experiences. Shruti then greeted and expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards all the attendees. She then set forth all the objectives of the session and explained what to expect from the session. She also pointed out all the measures to be taken when working on the project. She explained each and every part of the procedure in a very detailed manner and also answered the doubts of the attendees. As the session unfolded, participants felt very delighted because they were able to garner valuable knowledge and ideas.

Shruti also showcased some of her previous artworks in order to elaborate on the art.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

As we progressed towards the end of the workshop, the attendees were satisfied and gleeful. They appreciated the efforts made by both Shruti and TCC. The session, not to mention, was quite promising and advantageous for both the attendees and Shruti. In the end, the attendees were able to take home with them their own art pieces that they also showed Shruti for feedback.

The attendees were from different countries as well as from different regions of India and belonged to various age groups. But they were united by their passion and enthusiasm for art and craft that eventually brought them together on a single platform. TCC was very delighted and honoured to host the interaction of some like-minded people and create memories that could be cherished for a lifetime.

On that note, here’s us signing off until next time!
