From birthdays to festivities, we love making and gifting beautiful cards for our loved ones. Card making is not only a fun activity or a hobby but it also involves the art and craft of putting together ideas to build something creative and artistic. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this art form, Rooftop curated a Card Making Workshop and invited Shikha Jain.

Shikha Jain graduated with Accounting honours and is in her final year of commercial art. She was always interested in card making. She took her passion for card making on another level by starting her home based business of card making, gift items, packaging, etc. in 2016, named ‘Arthome‘.

Card Making Workshop Began

Shikha started the workshop with showcasing some of her artworks. She started with card making and elaborately explaining one step at a time. Then, she gave detailed information about every step to be followed. 

She gave insights on what kind of materials to use for best results. Nonetheless, she was very particular and informative about measurements to be followed for the card making process.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

She showed how to bring about all the different parts of the card together and design the final product. Towards the end of the workshop Shikha listed out all the different measurements of different parts of the card so the attendees could take note of it and follow the process later. The workshop ended with Shikha showing the final design of the card. 

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
