Calligraphy With Watercolour Flowers Workshop

Calligraphy With Watercolour Flowers Workshop: Watercolour painting is a method in which the paints are made of pigments that are suspended in a water-based solution. It is a painting technique that allows the artist to explore layering with colours. To simplify watercolour painting, Rajasthan Studio curated a Calligraphy With Watercolour Flowers Workshop and invited Amritanshu Das. He is a calligraphy and lettering artist. He loves to explore various art mediums and loves to create an amalgamation of art mediums through his final art piece.

The Calligraphy With Watercolour Flowers Workshop Began

Amritanshu began the experience by displaying a few of his art pieces on calligraphy and lettering. His varied lettering script styles mesmerized all the 35 participants. Then he explained the basics of watercolours and shared details about the various types of paints and brushes. Moving forward, he demonstrated the proportion of how to mix the colour with water and also some basic strokes. The attendees followed along the lines and practised the strokes with him.

Amritanshu illustrated a quote, “Perfectly Imperfect”, as the lettering for the painting. He then began the watercolour painting by building layers of leaves. Step by step he guided the attendees on how to build the layers to form natural-looking leaves. He then added a few flowers to decorate the painting. Eventually, he calligraphed the quote, Perfectly Imperfect with watercolour.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Throughout the experience, Amritanshu shared some insightful information through highly relatable examples that kept all the attendees engaged. The attendees showcased their paintings over the camera. While Amritanshu appreciated all their work and shared some tweaks to enhance the paintings. It was a very informative circle experience. The attendees successfully created beautiful calligraphy art by the end of the session.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on one platform. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
