Blue Pottery Workshop with Pallavi Ner

blue pottery

Blue Pottery is renowned as one of the traditional crafts of Jaipur. The art has its origin in Persia and  belongs to the Central Asian region. The art of Blue Pottery arrived in Jaipur from Persia and Afghanistan through the Mughal courts.

To make this traditional art form popular, The Rooftop community conducted a Blue Pottery Workshop with expert artist Pallavi Ner.

About The Artist

Pallavi is an architect and an artist who has been passionate about art since her childhood and has been exploring different art forms for 3 years. She likes to explore folk art and its history.

The Workshop Began

The host introduced Pallavi and gave a background about her journey into the field of art. Pallavi was delighted as she addressed the participants and explained that it is her first online art workshop. She started creating the design on paper as it got imprinted on a white plate and continued designing it using a blue outliner. Pallavi answered one of the participants’ questions and showed all her artworks to the attendees.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Pallavi completed her pottery art which looked very pleasing to the eye. All the attendees showed their beautiful artworks to her and Pallavi appreciated all the participants. The host thanked the guests for sharing their knowledge on this unique art form. Pallavi thanked the participants for attending the workshop and expressed her gratitude.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
