Watercolour Workshop with Anubha Verma

art for all by Anubha Verma

A method that dates to ancient times, water colouring or also called aquarelle in French, holds its uniqueness in its fluidity and transparent effect. Watercolour paintings are executed by applying different techniques like dry brush, glaze, washes and many more. Every watercolour painter works in specific genres and has a personal painting style and “tool discipline” which determines their preference for brushes or paper.

To explore the world of watercolour painting with you, Rooftop curated an amazing watercolour workshop with artist Anubha Verma.

About The Artist

Anubha Verma is a self-taught artist, who loves to create paintings that hold meaning and beauty and leave one wonderstruck at a glance. She learned art right from scratch and garnered a lot of experience during her journey, which she loves to share with fellow artists in the form of watercolour workshops and her Instagram page. She believes that art is the way of looking at the world in a different manner which generally our eyes can’t observe.

The Watercolour Workshop Began

The workshop began with a brief introduction of Anubha and her experiences as an artist. Anubha then greeted and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the attendees. She gave some insight into the world of watercolour art and then started demonstrating and creating the artwork from scratch. She laid an emphasis on the selection of colours and the dispersing media. Anubha explained each step in a very detailed manner and encouraged attendees to ask doubts. The attendees were very engrossed in the process as Anubha demonstrated her technique artistically. The session proved to be very advantageous for the participants as they got to learn a lot of tricks and tips about the art form.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

As the workshop progressed towards completion, the participants were able to create their own art pieces that they showcased to Anubha for her feedback, who found each of them very beautiful and full of effort. The workshop concluded with the attendees thanking and appreciating Anubha for teaching them in such a fun and easy manner.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to various age groups, but their love and passion for art brought them together on one platform. The Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating magic and positive vibes together.
