Abstract Figurative Painting & Antique Bottle Painting Workshop By Debopriya Dey

Abstract Figurative Painting & Antique Bottle Painting Workshop By Debopriya Dey

Art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead uses shapes, colors, forms, and gestural marks to achieve its effect is what abstract art is all about. The figurative painting describes artwork – particularly paintings and sculptures – which are clearly derived from real object sources.

Antique Bottle painting is a form of art that can turn old glass bottles into an incredibly creative piece with a vintage touch. To give our Rooftop Members an opportunity to learn about such unique artforms, Rajasthan Studio curated a fusion series workshop and invited Debopriya Dutta.

Debopriya is an artist by fashion who is working as a fashion designer. She is someone who enjoys experimenting with art and craves new artistic pieces every day.

Abstract Figurative Painting & Antique Bottle Painting Workshop Began

Debopriya started her workshop with a warm introduction and welcomed her attendees. All the attendees and Debopriya had a little chat and she was interested in getting to know all about the attendees and their previous knowledge or experience with different art forms.

As it is the Fusion series workshop and Deborpriya will be teaching the members for two days. She chose Abstract Figurative Painting on her first day of the workshop. Then, she started off with the sketching process and kept the session in progression with detailed steps. She even kept an open discussion for queries and tips for this art form.

Towards the end of the Workshop

On the second day of the workshop, Debopriya taught an antique bottle painting art form. She started off with the basic coat on the bottle. Towards the end, every attendee displayed their work. Debopriya even gave some insightful points regarding the antique bottle painting session which could help even the beginners.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Rooftop Art studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
