Introduction about the art form

Landscape painting popularly known as Landscape art, is the portrayal of natural scenery such as mountains ,valleys, trees, rivers and woods. Landscape painting emerged as an independent genre post Renaissance in the 16th century. This art form is typically grouped into three categories: abstract, impressionistic and representational. Blue, yellow and red are significant colours used in landscape painting.

About The Artist

Farida Suterwala is a landscape and floral artist. She has experience of more than 25 years. She is an independent artist and sells her artwork under her label ā€˜Love Meraki Arts.ā€™

The Workshop Began

The host welcomed all the attendees and introduced the artist. After explaining the tools and materials needed, the artist gave a wash background to the landscape. The attendees carefully observed the painting techniques for scenic landscape. 

Towards The End Of The Workshop 

All the attendees had understood the tips of landscape painting very well. The attendees were delighted  to show their work. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Rooftop Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
