Artisan Soap Making Workshop With Lakshmi Sreenath

Artisan Soap Making Workshop

Soap making is the art of making soap with natural ingredients. Rooftop curated an Artisan Soap Making Workshop with Lakshmi Sreenath. With a background in finance, Lakshmi is a writer, a certified yoga trainer, a nutritionist in the making, and a cosmetologist. She is also the founder and owner of a handmade soaps and cosmetic venture named Herbal Sutras, based in Kochi, Kerala, the land of herbs and spices.

The Artisan Soap Making Workshop Began

Lakshmi Sreenath started the experience on an informative note by talking about the various soap bases and natural ingredients which are safe to use. Additionally, she also explained the difference between handmade soaps and commercial soaps. Subsequently, she explained the entire process of soap making and the ingredients that shall be used – like moong powder or different kinds of oils. While showing the process, she also explained the importance of each natural ingredient for the skin. By the end of the workshop, she made two different kinds of natural soaps.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Lakshmi answered the questions raised by the attendees and also shared a few extra suggestions with them. At Rooftop, we organize workshops that help the attendees think creatively. All the curious 55 attendees gained a lot of information about soap making and express themselves through art.
