Zentangle Art Workshop By Farida Patel

Zentangle Art Workshop

Zentangle Art Workshop: The Zentangle Art is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. These patterns are called tangles. We can create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs. These simple shapes are the “Elemental Strokes” in all Zentangle art. To teach this relaxing form of art, Rooftop curated a Zentangle Art Workshop with Farida Patel. She is a teacher by profession with experience of 5 years and an artist by passion.

The Zentangle Art Workshop Began

Around seventy participants got the opportunity to learn this modern art form. Farida Patel began the workshop by telling us about the artform Zentangle. She showed us some basic patterns followed in this kind of artform. After practising some basic patterns, we went on to draw our main artwork. Slowly and steadily she started by drawing the basic outline of a feather. Gradually she started drawing different patterns to fill up the feather. All our participants were attentive listeners and followed step by step. On our screens we could see everyone very focused and as they drew different patterns. Farida explained the difference between Mandala and Zentangle in a quite simplified manner. She advised the participants,

There are no rules in Zentangle and we are free to be creative and come up with any kind of patterns.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

At the end of the workshop, Farida was excited to see the outcome of everyone’s work. The entire screen was filled with Zentangle art as everyone flashed their beautiful artwork towards the camera. Farida couldn’t stop appreciating each and everyone’s work and the way they had come up with creative patterns of their own. Farida encouraged everyone to come up with their own kind of patterns. Everyone could come up with different patterns using their own creativity.

We at Rooftop come up with new and innovative workshops everyday to keep everyone engaged and creative.

With this, we sign off on a good note. Stay safe, stay happy, and stay creative, until next time!
